Can you believe that kids are writing an original opera? We are!

There are seven of us in the writer�s group of La Clevique Kids Opera Company. To get our jobs, we had to fill out an application that included several assignments: writing a poem about something we cared about and writing a short story with three characters. We also had to finish sentences in interesting ways, and we had an interview with our teacher, Mrs. Fisher.

Once we got our writing jobs, we started forming the scenario, which is a basic outline of the story. Then, we started writing dialogue for the characters. Bibbity Bobbity Boo! We are already on Act 2!

We don�t want to give away our story, but we�ll tell you that it�s about five kids and one stylish dragon. Our title is �Rock-a-bye-Dragon.�

We hope you�ll like the opera we wrote all by ourselves!
